Bad writing award goes to seafaring novel's queasy first sentence
I had no idea there was a contest to craft the most gawd-awful opening sentence for a (fake) novel. In any case, I'm sure I could have topped this year's winner.
The above title is a play on "writer's block", an affliction that I sometimes suffer from. To prevent the onset of creative atrophy, I've decided to force myself to write something — anything — (almost) every day. Here's what I've come up with so far:
